As the sun rises, our journey begins. After breakfast you will meet your tour guide and driver, then journey to the historic city of Alexandria, also known as the Pearl of the Mediterranean Sea. Upon arrival, we will begin with a visit to the Catacombs of Kom el Shoqafa, a well-preserved and fascinating mix of different ages with Pharaonic and Roman dedications to the dead. Interestingly, in 1900, these sets of rock-cut burial chambers and tombs were found purely by an accident with a donkey falling through a hole in the ground. Afterwards, we move on to the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, a new modern, and stunning building combining a library with a magnificent collection of archaeological finds from ancient Alexandria in a museum setting. Enjoy a lunch break at a local restaurant in the city. Energized, make your way to the last stop, Fort Qaitbey

one of Alexandria’s top attractions for its historic value and important position - see sphinxes, columns, capitals, and statues dating from the Pharaonic, Greek and Roman eras. After exploring the city with your guide, return to your accommodation in Cairo. Overnight at your hotel in Cairo.
